Guru League allows participants  to acquire a Trading-Element™ track-record based upon APPROVED INSTRUMENTS specific to each Team and Solo Trader as published on THE TRADING FLOOR.

Guru League Rules

1. All Hunter-Class beating the Benchmark-Index in each contest-quarter automatically receive a Benchmark-Beat Award of 100 FRC. At the sole discretion of Finance Royale, the Top 50-Percentile may also receive the Benchmark-Beat Award. The benchmark-beat will be published and/or recorded.

2. GuruTalents™  are required to acquire a Seat in the Guru League, enter into notional trade positions and obtain a datestamped Trading-Element™ track-record. Your total portfolio is limited by your GuruTalents™, and the fixed exchange value is the multiple of 100x current Finance Royale Credit balance.  The CARRY-FEE for a Seat in the Guru League is 100 GuruTalents™ per quarter and is waived for Hunter-Class. 

3. You must acquire a Trading-Element™ Strategy Trade-entry Right ("TeR") in order to submit a notional Trade-Order on the Trading-Floor, which comprises of one paired BUY (SELL) at a designated date and one SELL (BUY) at a subsequent date within the Benchmark Period.  All positions must be flattened out by the end of the Benchmark Period, and thereafter, new positions may optionally  be entered and held till end of year.

4. You receive one TeR for every Originating Forecast data-entry, and additional TeR according to the formulae:  rounddown[(T-t)/7,0]. Hence if you provide an Originating Forecast data-entry 8 days ahead of a forecasting contest deadline, you will receive 2 TeR to adjust your Trading-Element™ Strategy. 

5. Trading-Element™ Strategies can be elected as either Single-Ticker or Multi-Ticker. Multi-Ticker Trading-Element™ Strategies assume uniform or equal weighting of your portfolio. Up to 3 Eligible Tickers from the 2026 Championship Year may be selected as part of each Trading-Element™ Strategy excluding approved SPECIAL EXCEPTION INSTRUMENTS. 

6. Single-Ticker Trading-Element™ Strategies can only have 100% long-only weighting and are allocated on a First-to-Submit basis (i.e., exclusive). If a Team or Solo-Trader submits a Single-Ticker Trading-Element™ Strategy  with an Eligible Ticker no one else may use that Eligible Ticker in a Single-Ticker Trading-Element™ Strategy, and only as part of a Multi-Ticker Trading-Element™ Strategy.

7. All Trading-Element™ Strategy TeR are not automatically accepted upon exercise, but will be signed-off with "APPROVED" or "REJECTED" upon the Trade Approval Board. For example, an exercise of Trading-Element™ Strategy TeR that exceeds your limits or violates any of these Rules will be rejected.

8. Finance Royale Credits may be transferred between Teams and Solo Traders, but may not be purchased from Finance Royale. You may exchange 1 FRC for 1 TeR by contacting Concierge.

9. Your notional trade positions do not affect your FRC balance, and you may convert/transfer/withdraw your original FRC balance at any time. Your GuruTalents™ balance will be reduced at the original exchange value. Your net PnL will still be retained in your GuruTalents™ balance, which may become negative. Please note also Rule 18 of Rules & Awards for conversion rights to PIK Awards.

10. From time-to-time at the sole discretion of Finance Royale, Black-Box Awards and RankTitles™ may be awarded for Trading-Element™ Strategy achievements.
